Hi everybody! Here’s a fun little project I created . I can wear the mask and the shoulder cannon. I was thinking about building the whole costume. Can’t go wrong with Predator on your wall

You had it a little easier with the lasers now. On the original I had to use helium-neon lasers, in glass tubes. These ran on about 2000v DC. Since room was so limited in the helmet, the lasers had to be removed from their aluminum tubes braced and shrink wrapped.
Hard to believe they survived. Here is a photo I found of them from a private collector.
My friend, Kevin Peter Hall was almost seriously injured (or perhaps killed) by the gun blowing up on his shoulder. He called me the night after it happened.
During the scene where he is scanning for Dutch and shoots at the kudamundi, they put too much explosives' in the gun and it blew up. Destroying the gun, and sheading the side if the Predator mask. If not for the fiberglass under-skull, the thick foam latex, and the fiberglass outer helmet, Kevin could have been seriously injured. Years later, I found this picture, which I assume is that explosion.

I just made the laser package for Stan's shop. I also built props, did movement and fight training for Kevin Peter Hall, developed a coolsuit for him to wear under the creature suit and came up with a way for them to film the glowing blood.

That’s very cool! Well done. One of my favorite movies. And to chat with a guy that was responsible for making that magic come to life….i’m honored.
