Predator 3 or AVP 3?

For me the Alien franchise DIED with 3, Predator, DIED with AVP, it was awesome to see the costumes and props again, but putting these two beasts together...well, it sorely lacked....no plot, no story, just a mindriot with guys having too much fun in Latex.

I say, Predator 3...and absolutely back in the jungle, maybe even the African continent, no more small backwater towns with habitants i wouldnt trust with a potato gun and please god, no more Lance Henriksen, leave this poor guy in peace Fox!

As for Alien....it hurts to think of what they did to these movies after Cameron....hurts like hell and its always bugged me, but ive never had a place to vent it...but why are the Aliens dog legged in Resurrection?...that really bugs me LOL.

well in my oppion the way to have a sucessful pred movie is to do it the same as 1 and 2
they need to put only one main character and his team ! thats all
LIKE BEFORE THE KEY IS to kill them off one by one !!! intill the main charater is left
thats pretty much the way to get a good pred movie
it will keep us all satisfied if they put new tech and some sort of background story too :)
thats what ive always thought , it really dosent matter the time era as long as its made right
it would be awsome ! ;)
 
i think they should do both pred three should reintroduce dutch even if they have to recast the part and avp3 would be great

regardless of all the plot holes and bad actining in AVP r i loved the predator and how the general story played out i think rigley scott or james cameron needs to take the reigns and make a great third installment

I'm surprised the guy hasn't gone postal after all the awful changes to his creation. Clearly FOX will not put the money into the Predator or Alien characters, so they should just stop altogether.

"Well, it's got the Predator in it so I will go see it regardless." Show some self-control. Starve the studios of your $7, $10 or how ever much it costs to see a movie now. That's why they keep putting **** out, becaue you're going to go see it regardless. You don't care about anything that has to do with either character, you just want to see them on screen. Well that's all fine and good.. you have have fun with your cheap-ass knock offs of the real thing. FOX needs to get it's **** together and hire some exceptional writers that can come up with a good story, and give both characters back to SWS.

Put the ******* magic back into movies where it belongs.

A Men brotha! I have 3 words....Predator Forever Midnight....badass to the bone book. Now I would like to somthing along the lines of Predator getting his ass kicked around but still owning so its not to damn predictable but Surviving I would like to see a back story on the lost hunters though....
 
I think AVP is a great theme but it only works well in the comics in my opinion, i just think when you read the comics you can still use ur imagination a bit. I just dont think there is enough time in a 2 hour movie to establish plot, back story, characters etc etc etc. I like that they tried, but a part of me wishes they didnt. The alien films are dead now, theres little mystery surrounding the character apart from their origins and they just arent scary like they were once. Im all for predator 3 and I like the african theme, has anyone seen the setting for resident evil 5? I think a new pred movie would be great in that kind of environment.

If they do make another movie regarding any of these franchises which is more than likely, unless it has someone great at the helm and a good lead, then I wont be too excited :)

I wouldn't count on a well done AVP movie...too many sheep out there that will go see the fluff that was the first two.

I for one would love to see a good director get AVP, but a Predator 3 would also be cool. Could always cast Dwayne Johnson (the Rock) as the lead...:)

Collider: You were also involved with AVP and AVPR, which are two great franchises, but they haven’t been able to work as a joint franchise. When are we going to see them go separate? Or are we going to see a third AVP?

John Davis: Well, the Governor has mentioned to me that when he ceases to be Governor, if he doesn’t run for the Senate and all of that stuff, he’d like to do a movie or two again. And I don’t know, maybe we could restart the Predator franchise.

Collider: So if Arnold wanted to do it, it’s going to get made?

John Davis: Well we’d have to come up with a really good script and a really great angle on it, but Predator was the first movie I was ever involved with, so it’s always going to have a really soft spot in my heart.

dude the rock has been one of my choices ! he would be great for a new pred movie
but of course arnold would be soo better and my fisrt pick !
 
I don't care which new Predator they give us, just as long as it is actually a good movie with a good plot and characters you can actually enjoy. Not the garbage like AVP was and AVP-R was OK, but could have been much better. I read somewhere recently that they are under production for AVP 3 and it is going to involve humans destroying the Predator homeworld. WTF ?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!? Seriously ! They can't do that, plus it sounds so stupid it's not even funny. I am sure I will be there in my Predator suit non the less, though!
 
Sadly i think if they do do an AVP-3 it most likley will end up with the Predators getting wiped out some how. They'll end the whole trilogy with the Preds being defeted, and the search for the Aliens begining, with the finale leading into the original Alien. Its just the kind of quick-fix bollocks they would throw at us, with the Humans coming out on top.
Predator 3 should be the next project that gets made. In space, in the future with more reference into the Pred homeworld. I also like the BadBlood idea!
 
NO matter how much we bleat on about this, IF another pred film gets made, the preds 99% probably gonna bite it, at the end of the day THE PREDATOR IS THE BAD GUY !

Arnold having a cameo , maybe a good idea, but personally i think hes past it physically, to add any weight to a new film as the main hero, hed just be a box office draw name wise, and a link to the past, which if done right would be a good thing, if he was a fringe character.

It seems everyone bar the people in power has good ideas for a future pred film, they should go back and look at what made P1 such a great film, nstead of trying to reinvent the wheel.

I hope to heaven they don't waste the homeworld, that would put the humans on the same level as Moff Tarkin and Vader using the Death Star to obliterate Alderaan....

I have noticed, that I dont have as much high hope about new movies like I had before. Probably due to the fact that everytime I had high hopes and went to the cinema, I just came home with a feeling of dissatisfaction.
Now, when I dont have high hopes about a movie I like to see, I either get surprised that the movie was actually good, or that my expectations were true and I have not really lost anything... except some money and a few hours where I probably had done nothing anyway.

But of course, it is better to have high hopes about a movie and getting the result you want, then have no hopes, watch the moive, and just go home with broken dreams and a sore back caused by hard seats.

Or am I alone feeling this way? :D

because of that ending in AVPR :D sad to say, but come on
there making the same story line over and over agin , "aleins
escape and pred comes to kill " its just gonna be the same story
agin with diffrent "actors " no creativity

They should do the next one based on the trilogy with Machiko and Dachande.

Tell the story of her and Dachande fighting the aliens on Ryushi, then going with the Predators on their ship.

The movie should show that Predators have honor and a society, not just going after Arnold and his army buddies, or crime lords (although those deserve to have their skulls on a trophy wall).

And the Predator shouldn't always die in the end, how else do Elders get to be Elders anyway?

Another thought about that thing about the homeworld....
If they mess with the homeworld, I'd be tempted to suit up and picket the studio.... sign would say

First Alderaan
Then my planet
Whose world next?
