(Predator 2 ) Where Does He Hide His Spear?

I just want your opinion guys because I love the predator 2 spear but I asked myself, where does he hide such a noticeable/large weapon?

WHAT DO WE KNOW?

WE SEE IT FROM TIME TO TIME BUT NOT ALL THE TIME THROUGHOUT THE FILM, BUT NO MATTER WHERE HE IS, HE IS ABLE TO USE IT.

FOR EXAMPLE WHEN HE HEARS THE GUARDS WALKING UP THE STAIRS AND HE STOPS WE CAN CLEARLY SEE THE BACK OF HIS ARMOR AND THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF A SPEAR HIDDEN IN THE BACK (IN THE NEW AVP FILMS WE SEE THE SPEAR NICELY HANGING IN THE BACK OF THE ARMOR).

BEFORE HE FIGHTS DANNY GLOVER IN THE ROOFTOP WE SEE THE CAMERA MOVING DOWN AND HE APPEARS TO BE TAKING THE SPEAR OUT FROM SOMEWHERE IN THE BACK ARMOR AND IS STARTS TO ENLARGE.

THE SPEAR CANT BE SMALLER THAN THE GAUNTLETS, WE HAVE ALL SEEN HOW IT LOOKS LIKE WHEN IT RETRACTS.

I WANT YOUR OPINION ON THIS GUYS:

1. IS IT A MOVIE MISTAKE.  WERE THEY MORE CONCERNED ABOUT FINDING A NEW WEAPON FOR THE ARSENAL AND DIDNT PUT MUCH TIME INTO THINKING WHERE HE WAS GOING TO STORE IT. 

2. DID THEY FORGET TO ADD IT TO THE COSTUME  DURING SHOOTING TIME.

3. IS THE SPEAR SOMETHING HE KEEPS INVISIBLE ALL THE TIME UNLESS WHEN HE USES IT (MEANING EVEN IF HE IS VISIBLE HE KEEPS THE SPEAR INVISIBLE) * doubtful because we can see everything else but.....  who knows

3. MAYBE THE SPEAR RETRACTS EVEN MORE AND GETS WAY SMALLER .

If you're really dedicated to finding an answer to where and how the P2 travels with his spear,  it might be worth your time to read the movie tie-in novel, 'Predator2'. I haven't read it yet, but knowing how most novels are always more insightful and detailed than their corresponding films, there just might be a chance that you could find what you're looking for there.

I've read it and didn't see anything mentioned.  Seems to me that it's such a trivial thing, the writers didn't want to have to take the time to explain it.  We're never told how they **** either, and frankly, I don't care.
