Predator 1:1 Display Wip

This is the best 1:1 Predator display I've ever seen!! The rock base looks great, too. My only suggestion right off that bat would be to weather down the neck ring. It looks too shiny and "new."

The contrast between the head and body isn't that bad at all.

The difference between the two paints is very distinct in person, so I HAVE to touch it up. The armor has to be completely redone because it looks like oily gunmetal rather than grass stained concrete. If that makes any sense.

Actually, Robillicus, I plan to upgrade the neckring altogether. I just learned that Lee makes an accurate one. I'm just going to cinch it up around the other.

This is definitely a work in progress thread, and the Pred has a long way to go before he's done. I did get an accessory for the base today that I can't wait to incorporate! More on that later . . .

I'm going to have to do a test fit. Unfortunately, I won't have time to do much Pred work for a while. I have a writing deadline to meet, so tall dark and gruesome will have to take a back seat for the next several days.

Okay, here's the new addition . . . an iguana statue that I've added to the bottom tier / ledge of the rock base. The basic idea is to try to emulate the feel of those old Aurora monster model kits. Those dioramas always had some lizards or bats or snakes off to the side. Actually looks pretty real, and a nice addition to the WIP display.

That 1:1 Gremlin paint up is nasty BTW. That is one piece that has been alluding me for many years. Congrats all around!
