I bought this prop in August. The main reason that I bought it is that I actually recognised the main piece that was used to make it. They used the front of a Monogram Battlestar Galactica kit for the body. One thing I noticed about it is that the plastic feels like it has been plated with metal.
Another good thing about this prop is that it was the only one of these made and is easily identifiable on screen.
I bought this for $100 but considering how much I've seen the Galactica kit being sold for and how much metal plating would probably cost I doubt I could make an accurate replica for the same cost.

Thanks, I didnt get the best deal on a prop though. Someone bought a prop from MMPR Season 2 fo $50 which turned out to be a possible Toei prop from the Japanese Sentai series Dairanger which MMPR S2 used footage from.
