POTC - New collection, What to buy and from where?

Hello All,
So i'm now really into POTC, and looking to buy my first collectable from the movies.
Now i have a load of LOTR swords, and want something smallish to fit on a shelf, so no space for any more swords, my top fav of the moment would be the JS Flintlock, as hopefully i could have this freestanding, on a custom stand, with perhaps a few JS rings and coins laid out around the stand.

Is this the way to go for my first POTC collectable?
Can anyone make a few suggestions on what to buy?

I can pick one up in the UK for £140 shipped, or go down the ebay US route, and have one shipped for around $150 - $160, however due to our recent changes in law, i'm worried that it would never reach my doorstep. I know when reading the act that guns before something like 1840 are allowed, but does this apply in this case? I dont want to loose my money, by having the flintlock stopped at UK customs, but will this really be an issue? Any advice would be most helpful.

Agreed. I got the rings recently and I love them. I've got a couple more small items coming in the next few days too

Also, if you can track it down, the toy pistol paints up very nicely

This thread (page 5 specifically) shows just how good the toy can look with a little care and proper painting & weathering:

The only major differences are a) the toy is missing some detail on the underside just in front of the trigger guard, and b) unmodified, the hammer rests in the uncocked position (against the pan and frizzen); the hammer on the MR replica is in the ****** position.

I was going to suggest that the BEST value for a pirates prop right now is the Coin Necklace.
I guess you're after guns and swords...but don't forget this one!

Also check the Disney stores for plastic Pirate coins...all you can fit in a bag for 5 bucks.
We got 45 in one.
