Posting Photos -- I can't take it anymore!

I'm tired of my pictures coming in as clickable icons linking to an attached file. I want it to show up in the middle of my post like all the kewl kids!

I created a photobucket account. Say I want this photo to show:

Gtorinolarge.jpg

Now what?

If so, click the little mountain looking image on the posting toolbar. It goes bold, italics, underlines, bullet points then buttons for inserting url and images and such.

Your photobucket account will show several variations of links at the bottom of your photo. One of them is specifically for message boards, and already has the all ready for you. Just copy and paste into your posting.
Just mouse over the photo and you will see:
Email & IM
Direct Link
HTML Code
IMG Code

Damn, I had hoped that a noob who joined a year ago and with less than a hundred posts would swing by into this thread and explain it :lol:lol:lol

Or at LEAST a member that´s not been here since the dawn of time ;)

Talk about jamming it in, twisting it around and breaking it off...

That's okay. Long time lurker. Spent forever missing the registrations.

And a mod did it too! I originally replied:

Didn't even lubricate it first. At least you tried to help,Qui. Naboo,I cheerfully concede you are a bigger nerd than I. Congratulations you *****.:cheers

Then I noticed the appellation. Probably changed his ID from GStone and used to grieve me in the old days or something. I better aim for discretion.

Dbuck: Thanks, I'll try that next.

Sooo, how many years does it take to lose the 'noob' label?:lol

Or should I inflate my count by posting "that's way cool" on everyone's show-off thread?

And yeah, by a mod, no less.

And I LIKE this place?

Yeah, I like this place. My wife is wondering why I'm laughing while I type.

GOT IT! THANKS DBUCK! Thanks to everybody who tried to help. Naboo... I know this german boardmember who is extremely polite and helpful. Even sent me a Christmas card via eMail. I really like him. He's a graphics genius.

Naboo...you're not like him at all.

I figure two years is usually good enough. So in 2010 if you are 2007 or before you should be gold. Of course, tjmho.

However, you did me a solid. :thumbsup Do me a favor and don't change your boardname so I remember to return the favor one day! :lol

Thank you.

By the way, most of us don't pay attention to post count. I am a member of three boards. On one of them my tag is:"Quality over Quanity". I have 130 posts in about 4 & 1/2 years over there.

Well, here's a related question: I kow how to click the little mountain icon and post my Photobucket pics using the IMG code. They show up nice as can be in the middle of my posts, but sometimes my photos are really big. So when that happens, I would like to post them as thumbnails that can be enlarged when a user clicks on them. How do I do that?

theres a little selection box for each photo in the album put a tick in the photos you want as thumbnails, scroll to the bottom of the page and click where it says generate code, it'll make thumbnail codes for you.
