post your spidey pics

Nice! Looks like a fun time, and the web-pack is integrated beautifully. Love it!

I've started some subtle modifications to my ultimate suit and am working on adding the shoes. I think I've gone a bit spidey crazy, but I think the final look will be worth it. I'll post pictures when I can, but it's not done yet.

what kind of shoes did you use? aqua shoes? or something like tasm (asics sport shoes)

Neither, because I am insane. I'm using a pair of black velvet tuxedo slippers that I am currently tearing apart like a madman to be put back together with the uppers inside of the suit and the soles outside of the suit.

I am also re-drawing each of the weblines by hand because, again, insane. I wanted them darker, and to stay dark through the full range of stretch.

i think business shoes were also great - it gave a look like in the raimi movies. did you use puffy paint for the web lines? maybe i would use this also for my suit but i am a little bit afraid to ruin the suit - puffy paint is sometimes so patchy.

The look of the shoe will be very similar to the raimi movie shoe, yes, but with a more pointed toe. I did not use puff paint, I do not want an uneven surface with this print. At all. I used professional marker pens with archival quality inks to darken the weblines so that the material was dyed all the way through to the back. The pens are PIGMA micron brand, the type used by quilters for drawing on fabric to leave truly permanent marks that do not fade or run like the ink from a sharpie or similar marker.
I have completed the weblines on the mask, torso, and legs, and am working on the arms and hands. I will share pictures when the process is finished.

Alright. Here's some shots of the first test fitting/proof of concept with the shoes and soles. Nothing is glued down or attached yet, but you can see the overall shape and structure and the thin black sole.

And here's a picture showing the new darkened/emphasized weblines. The mask, throat, and chest have been updated in this shot, and you can see the difference compared to the side of the neck and shoulder areas that have not been darkened yet. This will be a tedious process to finish, but I really like the look.
Cheers.

it's realy amazing - did you make a own sole with rubber? or where did you get this?
i hope you can show more pictures of the shoes soon.

Thank you.
As I said before, the shoes are a pair of black tuxedo type slippers that I rather brutally dissected. The upper is now inside the suit, I removed the heels, removed the soles, and now the original thin sole is going to be reattached to the bottom, with no heel, as shown in the pictures.

The shoes are Steve Madden Churchills. They originally looked like this:

You're welcome, glad you got the eyes sorted. Your suit looks absolutely wonderful! Have you had any issues with the lenses fogging?

Thanks very much! I think it'll all be worth it once it's finished. Really has that comic book feel.

I did at the start but now I use bike it anti fog the stuff they use for the inside of motorcycle helmets I just rub a little on the inside and it's good. For 2 hours or so

Ah! Brilliant. I've been mucking around looking at anti-fog for swim and scuba goggles, but they all require rinsing in the water you're swimming in, and hockey helmet anti-fog is made for faceguards with tons of built-in ventilation. But bike anti-fog! For Motorcycle helmets! That's perfect. Many thanks!
Just put in an order for some of this.
