Is it possible to make armour without having an duct tape dummy? My fandom friends don't live in my town and the family members I'm living with are incapable of following instructions so would be unable to help me.
Few armor pieces fit so snugly that a body form is necessary. If you measure you body's dimensions, you should be able to mock up a form for sculpting or shaping the armor.
Many use Pepakura for their armor projects, and that doesn't require a body form.
As long as it's not extremely form-fitting, just make sure to fit your patterns to your measurements and you should be fine. Double check by actually comparing and holding them up before you use the real material, though. :0
