Polishing Vader Helmet

Hi, I have the Rubies Supreme Vader helmet (yes I know of its imperfections, please don't remind me). I have tried to polish it up with some car interior cleaning products (I believe it was Turtle Wax interior cleaner, which gives my car interior an excellent shine), but it did little for my helmet. Is it possible to get an excellent shine with this helmet, I know it is some sort of plastic, but I have seen some amazingly shined fiberglass Vader helmets, and wanted to get similar results. A few quick searchs drew up no results, so hopefully you guys will jhave something for me.

Its just a Supreme Vader helmet, but I want to make th most out of it. Thanks

I think that a lot of people use Future Floor Wax on their helmets.

You could also give it a proper paint job, hitting it with a plastics primer and/or plasticote gloss black and then a few layers of clearcote. Especially the mask would profit from a paint job.

Back when I first got mine, I didn't have time to mod it yet... so I used a plastic polish that I bought an automotive store... I can't remember the name of it though. It worked really well. But if you're really looking for it to look good, I'd say mod it. You can get a pretty decent looking helmet with some work.

I, too, had a Rubies Supreme. If it is so imperfect, then why was mine stolen TWICE?!? ;)

So you got it back and it was stolen AGAIN ?!

And :thumbsup for your avatar pic! Roger Taylor´s sole IIRC? Or was it Brian May and the starfleet project?

Hmm. Well for me, I have always found it alot more fun and perhaps more beneficial to have someone help me polish my helmet:sleep

I can't believe this comment has been up for over a year and no one else has remarked on it. Am I the only other crude, crass and politically incorrect person here.:lol I certainly hope not.:rolleyes Maybe no one else made the connection, but that couldn't be possible.:confused
