Polishing/Cleaning Acrylic?

Is there a recommended agent for getting a good clean and shiny finish on acrylic surfaces?

Not sure if this is applicable, but on our acrylic contact balls, a motorcycle helmet visor polish does wonders to the shine, even patches up some small scratch blemishes too.

Unfortunately I've never actually polished a contact ball but lots of people do and they use the visor polish too. Most of the time it's for water-clear acrylic though so not sure if colours matter.
