What do you think about the colors??? I think the yellow is too dark and the rebel logo needs to be lightened a little more

I think the red looks great. But on the original helmet, the yellow stripe is actually white, I believe. The yellow color is uneven, and I believe come from weathering.

Yeah, u might be right. It's hard to tell and that would be a weird weathering style but in some of the pics it looks very yellow. Im thinking it's sort of the same theme as luke's with the black instead of white, but that might be a stretch. The propshop website has theirs yellow. I don't think they are the final word but just something to consider. After looking at some screen shots I 100% agree with you and am going to sponge on some white and do a "reverse" weathering lol. There is definately some white splotches in there. Thanks for the input brother!!

I think the color comes from a paint in the "baby-poop brown" range. I have a paint I use for weathering that imparts the same kind of effect. It matches a kind of mud around here. But either way, your paint job looks superb!

Hey guys.. its great that your posting some pics in the thread.. but its a sales thread, not a paint or build thread.. please feel free to post some finished pics or full costumes when you have them but we would like to keep this on track..

Maybe we should start a Poe/X-WIng helmet thread int the costume section with painting discussions and all that? I would be into that
