Plasti-dip replacement , save $$$

After doing a random buy and compare I came across this product which is used to undercoat car rocker panels before painting. Nice rubber coating and WAAAAY cheaper than PLasti-dip, at least where I am it is.
The can comparison shot should speak for itself. $6 for the rubber coating and $16 for the Plasti-dip the size of the paint can.

Here's what a quick spray of it gave some backer-rod. The texture is wicked!

Hope this helps.

It does, but not a really dominant one to the point it looks weird. It actually makes the dreads I covered look slightly bumpy, like the skin of an orange a bit. Keepin in mind my backer-rod isn't totally smooth either though.
I'll be using it on my dreads, so once I'm done I'll post more pics here to show.

it's so flexible it freeked me out the first time I bent it. lol So used to things going askew for me during this build.
I thought for sure it would crack but... nope. Once I give it 24 hrs I will post some pics of it on my dreads.

It's been 24 hrs pretty much and... no peeling off, BUT small cracks when you bend the hell out of it. The ones I sprayed while pulled straight are ok, but those that had a bend in them have the slight cracking prob. Plasti-dip is still the thing to use I guess, but if you need to pinch the $$$ this stuff works A-ok as well for less than half the cost.

As an added little job for myself I heated and tapered a dread with this stuff on it and it expands with the foam while warm so I didn't even have to re-spray.
Just so y'all know. lol
