So I'm trying to recreate the bus scene from My Neighbor Totoro with my Pit Droid and R2 unit:
This is what I have so far:
The bus sign is made from Styrofoam, a pvc pipe, and a pie dish. The Pit Droid I 3D printed and dressed to look like Satusuki, with the intent of down the line 3D printing a half sized version as Mei.
Here's where I need help. I feel like with out the umbrella you don't really get the same effect.
1. I know its bad luck to open an umbrella indoors, not sure if that applies to having it open indoors?
2. I took a kids size umbrella and cut it up. (It was the most expensive part of this build, so don't really want to buy too many if I don't have to). My intent is to get a pvc pipe and have the droid hold that so it looks like its connected to the umbrella. The droids head is very wide so it can't be centered as I would like. If anyone has any other ideas on making the umbrella, definitely let me know.
3. Do I need the umbrella or do you think I can just leave the droid and have the same effect??
