I've been moving away from big costume builds and more towards make up work with my cosplay, so for Texas Frightmare Weekend, I decided to put together a costume for Petyr from What We Do in the Shadows.
There isn't much for the wardrobe, but his coat is unique so I had my friend at Red Stone Dreamery put it together for me.
I absolutely hate bald caps, but I tried out Smooth-On's Q-Ballz product and made my own plastic bald cap and absolutely fell in love with the product. Edges can be blended with acetone for seamless application and screw ups can be "recycled" by melting it down with acetone.
I added the veins to the bald cap by applying blue yarn to the underside of the bald cap with Pros-Aide and then painted on additional, subtle work.
The ears are modified "gremlin ears" from Cinema Secrets. I'm not quite up to sculpting my own prosthetics yet, but these were close enough to do the trick.
The gums for the teeth were created with friendly plastic and the teeth were modeled and 3D printed and then mounted in the gums.
The contacts are just basic white ones, eyebrows blocked out using the glue stick method.
The pictures lose a lot of the detail unfortunately due to how pale Petyr is, but I am extremely happy with how this one turned out.
