Perfect example on making a prop look stupid for the sake of accuracy

Anybody who knows me know what a huge fan I am of Batman '66. Unfortunately this franchise is chock full of silly looking props. But THIS one...wow. I finished the Batgirl prop radio about a year ago and was happy with it. Then fellow buddy and RPF member Vader1974 built his. Then he made a dreadful discovery that made me cringe! The added bonus of the lace around the radio! This detail completely got by me (subconsciously on purpose?). I think he opted to keep the lace off, but me, well, it needs to be screen accurate. So, behold, the girly monstrosity...

66 Batman.
It is what it is.
Lot of us grew up on it, all of it made sense once through a child's eyes, so
there you go, it's for a girl so it has to be girly!

What a dark and brooding version of the character Yvonne Craig brought to the screen. Evil doers, beware...

You know the scary part? I'm currently working on the "Bat Fly Swatter". Yes (sigh), it was a thing.

Even as a kid ( watching the re-runs of the show ), I still thought it was a goof,
that he had everything on that belt! I still could not keep from watching it though. I think
it was the car.

I did meet Adam West at Cavalcade of Customs, car show, in full costume! So I'm guilty
of liking the show!
