Pee-Wee's Big Adventure Bike

The skirt is 1/4" styrene, but I think the real one is MDF, also it might 3/16th not 1/4".

I noticed that in the images, the one bag was lower than the other, I mainly just put them in to visualize them in. I didn't get a chance to push things up. The plastic thickness is because I reinforced the edges.

both look great to me..its really hard to make them both the same and opposite and they look almost as wide as mine do. im planning on making mine 2 inches thinner to get near the 6 inch width you stated before..

Today I got the center button and the black button installed, I'm still searching for a suitable red button.

It sure looks that way, good luck. There's a wealth of information and helpful people in this thread. Abelugo has a parts list on the first page that was a huge timesaver. Thanks again Abe!

wuher da brewer, That looks like you have a 24" DX not a 26" you can tell be the shape of the front of the tank, it's good you have that tank it adds value to that bike. Though it looks like someone added 26" fenders.
You can still build that as a X1, maybe and X1 Jr.

Ack, I thought something looked a little off with that bike, but I couldn't put my finger on it. :(

I finally got my front fender mounted, and put my truss rods on properly. I also got my brake handle in the mail today, heres a picture of the movie bike brake handle and then mine.

For anyone trying to get their bike in Halloween quality shape in time for trick or treating (or whatever else one does with the best bike in the whole world)...here is a quick solution to the annoyingly time consuming saddle bags.

Go to IKEA and pick up a pack of FLYT magazine holders. They are 5 pieces for $1.99. Assemble two of them and decorate however you like best. I picked these because they are roughly the shape that I was aiming for. No cutting required. I did however cut up some cardstock to cover the hole where you'd put magazines before taping over it. I used colored duct tape for my decoration because I'm a rather accomplished duct tape artist if I do say so myself...:love

They are far from screen quality obviously, but for my purposes (doing a halloween triathlon and so need a bike to ride!!) this works great for the time being. I plan on molding some better ones when time permits, which will probably be christmas or next summer depending on work.

Here's the halloween quality version of my bike. A temporary tiger head is in the mail and I realize I switched the colors on the middle saddle bag >.<

But, the saddle bags and chain guard are only intended for one (possibly two) days at bike races...so they're good enough for me for now.

Took the X1 around the neighborhood for the first time. Yikes this sucker is heavy :p Gonna be interesting to take it in the race on Sunday lol.

Anybody willing to trade or sell well done saddlebags and top case? I have everything for two exact bikes but have lost steam when it comes to the bag fabrication. I has spare tiger sirens, Mickey kicking the soccer ball bells, shifters, brake levers, Indian head tires and a lot more. I just need to finish one bike and put it to bed. Please send me a message with description, pics and price/trade. Thanks in advance.

my buddy finally has my skirts cut from my templates..had new rims built around my Schwinn red band hubs. gonna be redoin my bags to a more correct size and would like to learn how to make a mold from them to make them a more durable fiberglass? found the foam will actually dent in spots if you kick it, and riding around with the bags you will accidently kick them. anyone have any expertise in molding them?
