Pee-Wee's Big Adventure Bike

Yeah looks like there is no head badge in the actual movie.

You can even see the mounting holes from where it was removed.

Yeah, thats the hollywood museum bike... No badge... Im guessing it was left off intentionally so there was no branding in the shot...

...

Not set on the "x-1" font yet, I need to re-handwrite the " best bike.." bit. Lion needs cross hatching and line work. Also need some adjustment to the Pee Wee size and location.

i LOVE that design!
the only part of it i dont like too much, is the bowtie. other than that, its awesome... i love the shape!

Abe,
That's one classy badge. It sorts out all the elements really well onto the Fleet shape.
I like the leaping lion.

I tweaked my first design a little with a border around the edge.

Hey your bike is looking really good! Here is a link to the one I built! (not trying to hijack your thread) http://www.therpf.com/f9/pee-wee-herman-bicycle-finished-100920/

Here is a parts list of what I used. If you need any help or advice PM me :)

Has anyone been able to find the buttons on the tank? My local Radio Shack sells toggle switches with a white vinyl cover on the switch. This button that I found online looks like it could be close:

SPST ON/OFF PUSHBUTTON | AllElectronics.com

Here's the toggle:
SPDT Center Off High-Current Mini Toggle Switch - RadioShack.com

Still not sure about the middle button though.

Jack,

jason told me he got these

30's 40's 50's Ford Lincoln Mercury Starter Button OEM - eBay (item 360283792195 end time Jan-22-11 20:21:15 PST)

Mini SPST 1.5-Amp Momentary Pushbutton Switch (2-Pack) - RadioShack.com

I think the momentary push button you posted the link for should be taller.

Yeah, i think i picked up the last one of the lincoln mercury switches.. But its not certain they didnt use another starter button... I have seen several on ebay that look almost identical... Where was a toggle switch used? As for the red and black button, i think abe is right... The one on the bike is a bit taller... I havent found a place that has it yet... Still searching around...

If you look at the close up shot, it has a mushroom shape to the button and you can see a round nut on top of a washer...

Oops, my mistake. I thought the button on the far right was a white toggle. I didn't realize it was missing a black cap. On a separate note, I wish somebody at The Hollywood Museum would clean and shine the bike. It's a bummer to see rust in some of the close shots, like the springer fork.

I've tried contacting them and have gotten no response. It would be a bear to lift that clear case off. I might be going back to get more pics soon.
I hate the fact that someone pulled the lightning darts off it and added some new cheap whitewalls. Alsot the fact that you can't get very good pics of the other left side.

Looks like the only solution is for all of us to converge in LA for a super-heist.
Wouldn't be the first time the bike got stolen. . . .

Hey Guys,
light lens
I went ahead and ordered 10 reds and 4 ambers.
I've got orders from Jack, Nick and Ed(Doc brown)
I'll have one extra set if anything happens.
They'll be in hand about next Monday. This light guy is a pain to get a hold of.
