Pee-Wee's Big Adventure Bike

Sweet. Now you can get to work. Do you have a tank yet?

I don't have a tank yet. I guess I'll get one from the guy on ebay. The frame I got from Abe already had some paint removed. I removed most of the rest, but I have about ten percent left. Will sand blasting hurt the aluminum?

i dont think your frame is aluminum Turk? should be steel and sandblasting will work fine as long as any holes in the tubes are plugged..the sand will get inside the frame then. not that it really matters..but you dont want sand coming out of the downtube holes and into the crank bearings when you ride it..tape them up with duct tape first

i got these Lost if you wanna borrow them, or anyone else. may want to fine tune the lines a little but this is the templates i made for mine. fits a dx frame..mine are aluminum but you could cut them peice by peice from thin sheetmetal and tack together like movie bikes, or one peice outta some other kind of material.. ill probally never use them again. cut outta poster board.

also finally got my chainguard arrow redone to look movie correct. cut from aluminum and epoxy together.

Yep, you can see it in the first picture.

I can see the bell, but I'll have to check it out on blu ray-

Turk, your frame is steal, I would love to have an aluminum version of a DX frame, but that just doesn't exist.

Micheal, did you check on the skirt on the museum bike to see if they mount the same as yours?

Nice job on the chain guard detail.

Took a look at the Blu-Ray - good eye Sleepyhollow! yep a soccer mickey bell!

So I kept watching and saw that in the scene with nuns on a shot where you see the left side of the bike the large mirror looks like the cone shaped large mirrors previous posted here, can someone confirm? At 1:10:39 in the movie.. it looks like mirror 290666609806

skirts looked to just be safety or mechanics wired onto frame and looked to be constructed like mine only in sheet metal. and as in all seperate parts stuck together.

got my cases stuck on until i refinish them..of course after numerous tests the left side led wont light? arrgh! i hot glued the wiring all inside and the cases are now all sealed in resin..major bummer but ill figure it out..they look sweet in the dark lit up.

I bought on of Abe's awesome Tiger Siren kits. You can really see all of the time he spent figuring this thing out, a lot of effort went into this thing. The brackets, the aluminum mounting plate, the wiring, the decals, the casting, it's all really top notch. I decided to buy one unassembled, and unpainted, I figured it would be more fun that way. I just spent the last couple hours getting the tiger painted up. Please excuse the crappy lighting and cell phone pictures.

Yeah, I saw that last week. Pee-wee was funny, but that ripoff bike was disgraceful. :-( They didn't even try to emulate the real thing.

Pee Wee might have a product placement agreement with Schwinn. I think that bike he rode was one of their newer cruisers that has a drink holder built into the frame.

I assumed that was the case. But then why use that model? Chinese schwinn makes new models with tanks, he could have at least done one similar to the awards show bike.

I have a few of those Robots!

Ruddigger your siren looks great!

Thanks. I wish I could take credit, Abe did most of the work, I'm just painting and assembling. I did take a couple pictures of it outside after I clear coated the head. And I just finished mounting it in the housing. Next step, electronics. Not my forte...

The siren looks great.! I've been working on mine a bit recently, too. I beefed-up my housing by adding several layers of resin and fiberglass cloth inside the bottom. I also added the steel plate bottom and affixed it with JB Weld and screws. Now I just need to fabricate a bracket mount that attaches to the front and rear stem/handlebar bolts.

looks great! size wise how does that compare to the other one? the one on the Ohio bike was really small, but in screen shots it looks big..i know the one i made is probally twice as big as the Ohio one..but then i never seen a real one before that to compare.
