You can make a fiberglass mold without destroying the plug if done correctly, our first plugs were totally ruined because we didn't know what we were doing, here's the new plug after de-molding:

Hodog95 check with billy baloney or Droidboy if your looking for skirts, both of them were selling some really nice laser cut pieces.
 
I was wondering if someone who has already installed their saddlebags and console could tell me the measurement from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the console? Looking at the Hollywood pics of the bike, it almost looks as if the console is just sitting on the fender.

Also, does anyone know off-hand what the diameter of the fenders are (as measured from the center of the wheel) as well as the cross-sectional diameter of the fenders? I would just measure my bike but it's at the powder coaters, and I won't have it back for another couple of weeks.

Any help would be appreciated!
 
13 7/8 from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the console is where mine is. They are all a little different because the bottom plate for the console was done per bike.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by the fenders questions though. From the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender is 12.5 inches though.
 
Hey, that helps! From a fender support that I found, it appears the fenders are approximately 14.5" from the wheel center to the top surface. I estimated the fender cross-section to be 3" in diameter. Just trying to make a good initial guess for my console cutout. I can dump those dimensions into ProE and determine the ellipse cutout and make a pattern.
 
The upper bag on the Hollywood bike IS sitting on the fender. The plywood base has a small recess (not a hole) carved into it so that the bottom of the plywood cups the fender. It is then bolted to the fender through the plywood. This is the way I did mine.

The side bags are then bolted to the vertical fender brace, which is a custom made brace of wider steel.

If you're installing bags, this is what I recommend;
1.) Make sure that your rear wheel is trued nice and straight. Tolerances get tight back there.
2.) Carve the recess out of the plywood base and bolt the upper to the fender, (I used 2 bolts lengthwise along the fender about 2" apart.)
3.) Make the vertical fender brace out of strip steel or aluminum. It goes inside the fender, just like a normal brace would, I also ran it on the inside of my skirt guards.
4.) Mount the side bags to the fender brace with 2 bolts for each bag, one near the top of the brace, one near the bottom. The top of the side bags should be touching the bottom of the upper.
5.) The side bags may sort of bow out at the rear, you can pinch them together, and drill a hole through the inside of the upper (near the rear of it,) and through the top of the side bags, then bolt them. A helper is useful for this step.

This method is very sturdy, I have literally zero wobble in my bags at all. Hopefully this makes sense to you guys, I plan on making a video tutorial on this soon. Also, pro-tip, don't fit your side bags while the bike is on the kickstand. The may look straight, but they're probably not. Learned that one the hard way, lol.
 
The Hollywood bike has a plywood base? Weird. None of the others do. Also, none of the other bikes have that custom wider brace. They just use the regular fender braces.
 
Yes. The sides and the upper have plywood bases. They are covered up with red and white adhesive backed vinyl on the sides, and left bare on the upper.

Also, in this screen capture from the chain sequence, you can see that the back of the sidebag appears to be a seperate piece. There's a slight gap around it. It's a nice shot of the hinges too.

The other screen used bikes I've seen and worked on all had the plywood on the bags but not the consoles. The bases were vac formed out of the same material the bags were done in. I'll try to find a pic from the BMA bike.
 
Looks like that was the red wire they used to hold the fender skirt to the fender, there are are two holes drilled on either side of the frame down tube and the wire is coming out of one of them
