Yep... The Panther has the same basic frame... just need to swap for a DX tank. There are ton of slightly different Schwinn models that would work. The key is early 50's. "Prewar" frames were made a little different.

I've been working on this bike for a while too. Got most of the parts but still collecting.
The correct frame is tough. It's gotta be a postwar DX with a built in kick stand to be 100% accurate.
I'd love to see some more ref photos if you have them too. Good ref has been hard to find. I had to buy an entire press packet full of 8X10 photos to solve a couple mysteries. Worked though!
