paper bumblebee

Its way to small and detailed to be made out of paper. I would prefer other stuff, but I wouldnt go for paper

admittedly its quite tedious :wackobut patience has its rewards, the finished arm is fully articulated ( initially i thought it wont be) and looks cool :)( i wouldn't mind finding a substitute for paper, but it seems that the design calls for it)

It seems the creator did a good job of putting the paper model together. I don't see any reason not to try if you like the model.

Take it to a large format printer and scale it up! 1:1 Bumblebee FTW!
It works for LINK!

The credits say Andrew "Skip" Skupinski is one of the people that worked on this. I've done some artwork for him before and I can tell you, the guy is a genius with papercrafts.

That Link is awesome! I think a full size Bumble Bee would be a win:):thumbsup

that would be an 18 foot tall paper model:lol, but considering of making a 1:3 scale to get a 6 foot model, will be a great reference for a wearable costume

Hi omel,
I usually don't look into this part of the forum, but I have finished the Paperinside Bumblebee. I built it at 1/6 scale and wow it took a long time!!! I added some parts in the shoulder to make it look more aggressive. I also messed with the chest and wings to make it look more accurate. All the joints move, but I didn't put the LED eyes in.

I'm very happy with the results. I used only white elmer's glue, cardstock paper, and a sharpie. Using the white glue as a barrier, I painted the reverse sides of the panels and then made them black with a sharpie.

wow looks great, i'm still doing the torso , so how tall did it come out using 1/6 scale? 3 ft tall? yup it is taking a long time to put together, but seeing your finished bee makes me wanna finish mine a.s.a.p. hehehe

WHOOPS I meant 1/12 scale XD hahahahha its 16ish inches and I think Bumblebee is supposed to be about 17 feet tall. Sorry if my mistake misled you.

Thanks! I didn't say it was easy! This took me about a year and a half worth of lunch breaks at work...
