Update: first cast! The weather has finally started to warm up enough for me to finish the mold and make the first cast. Next on the bench is to finish the Dracula helmet.

The head is pretty much ready for molding. I'll probably cut the ears off and mold them separately, then I'll sculpt the rest of the horns directly on the finished cast and then mold them....Eventually I might do a bust of the Pale Man in the same scale as a companion piece (with his hands in front of his face of course).

I've been doin a lot of symmetrical, geometric sculpts lately and wanted to do something more organic. I wanted to take a crack at this character for a while and finally gave it a shot. It's about 2/3 scale and with the horns will still be huge when it's finished.

It still has a long way to go, but it's getting close.

Wow, great work.

I didnt saw the movie yet. I know this character only from a few trailers and clips, but your sculpt looks very accurate to the picture of the character I have in mind.

Looks amazing! That's one of the strangest movies I've seen in the last few years, but the creature designs were just gorgeous. :)

Re: Pan's Labyrinth Faun WIP sculpt

Thanks for the comments guys, I'll keep you updated with the progress. I plan to mold and cast the head without horns, and then sculpt and cast them seperately (which will be a beeyotch).

I also plan to take design elements from some of the production designs to decorate the base.
