I'm looking for some advice on painting a latex undersuit that has a lot of fine detail.
I really want to avoid using pax in fear of losing some of that detail but need a glossy effect in the paintwork!

Any suggestions? :unsure

Perhaps you could use Plasti Dip spray to get the effect you're looking for.
As for the color selection it's pretty limited in what's available pre-mixed.
However I read on the boards that they have a custom color kit that is available now as well.

I'm currently working on a suit made of fabric-coated neoprene that I've coated with several layers of Burman's balloon rubber. I'm painting it with a mixture of Plasti-Dip thinned down to a watery consistency using mineral spirits. I'm only painting it in blacks and greys, which means I only need to use black and white Plasti-Dip. As to what sort of pigments you could use to color white or clear Plasti-Dip I have no idea whatsoever.

You too, Darius! That was my very first post, btw. :)

If you're only needing black then use Plasti-Dip and thin it down with mineral spirits. It will take two or three coats once you've thinned it, though, so if your suit has really fine detail there's nothing that can be done to prevent the loss of some of it.
