Ok so you want to paint the hunter1,but first let me say that this is the way I paint mine, it may not be the right way or I may not use the right colors so keep that in mind. First off I use these colors, Liquitex parchment for the base, pink for the inside or the mouth, light brown, black, and transparent red oxide. Those colors you can buy in the tube made by Liquitex they are acrylic and come in a rainbow of colors! I mix my colors with Pros-aide its a adhesive base that's made for painting prosthetics, you can get from most FX shops. I use a badger Anthem airbrush but you can use whatever your comfortable with. First get a hold of a latex mask or sculpt your own, trim, cut out eyes so you can see, and mouth area so you can breathe. Make sure you can see out of properly before you start to paint. I fill my masks with foam inside to the shape of my head for that perfect fit plus it will hold the masks shape. Prop up and paint your base color mine is parchment white with a little yellow to tint but do not paint the back of the head, as you will need to glue the dreads on!!!. Paint the base color along with the inside of mouth. Allow to dry, pros-aide dries tacky, its dry although its sticky!!! Then with a light blue, I use Freak flex asphyxia blue I paint my veins starting from the back of crown moving toward the front and alongside the cheeks. Then with brown add a dot pattern as seen in pic 2,the dots in the back of the head are large and get smaller as they get closer to the front. Try not to make them uniform as they will not look natural! With your base color, spray over the veins and the brown dots to lighten in the front area, do it lightly as you still want to be able to see them!!! With black I start a big dot pattern from the back of the head painting right over my other dot and vein patterns. The dots get smaller as I get closer to the front of the head you can see how I just did that one side, but do both. Now do the same to each side of face and bottom of chin with pattern pictured. Now lightly mist black inside the dot patterns connecting some dots but not all of them, and spray inside the eye area. Do this lightly you just want to shade, you should be able to see all the separate dots. Now with some transparent iron oxide lightly mist some color over the dot patterns. Not too heavy your just adding a shade of color. Now you can get a red Prisma color marker and with the fine point draw in the veins inside the mouth, lightly spray pink over veins you just drew, you should still be able to see them underneath if you cant you sprayed too much! Next lightly spray some red in the recessed areas inside the mouth. Add repainted teeth, I spray freak flex nicotine yellow up the side then mist moss brown, then seal with Krylon crystal clear acrylic. Then I add the dreads, I start with the top row being long, I cut at a slight angle and attach with Zap a Gap. The second row is a little shorter than the top, the third a little shorter than the second and so on. Once that's done I hold up the dreads and spray the rest of the unpainted areas black. When dry, I seal the whole mask with Perma wet from The Monster Makers, with my airbrush of course. There you have it, now all you need is some dread beads and some quills then your all done!!!
