Welcome aboard! dude you have some nice snakes I always wanted a jag and a bredls but at the time I checked (the 1st yr the jag was introduced) it was going for 8g's and the bredls for 2g's do you mind me asking how much you paid for each?
my next snakes is going to be an angolan or an albino ball wich ever comes up cheaper first ,next yr.

I'll post pics of my babies when I get back to town.

hello mate, thanks for the kind comments and you have good taste then if you choose those two, i live in the UK and i quite like Angolans, id take one over an albino royal i think? the bredl pictured is a big girl, about 8ft long and she was pretty cheap as the seller didnt really know what he had  i got her for £350 or about $650, as for the jag, i got him from UK pythons as a 3yr old hold back, he cost alot, almost $3000 but he's worth it imo, il put more pics here as im not sure how to do them in pm's... (sorry to hijack the thread on only my second ever post!!)

P.s, love this site, never seen anything like these suits you guys are creating, i may have to look into one... its good to feel like a kid again :D

Dude you have an awesome collection!
is that an irian jaya carpet? you cenrtainly got a deal on both 3000 for that jag was a steal(specially for that color morph) and yes I meant a royal python.here in the states we call it the ball pyhton due to their response to coil int o a "ball" when threaten. just got back in to town socheck for pics of my snakes tomorrow.

P.s I just saw my first piedball(royal) and is beautiful,it almost brought a tear :D

yep, a few people call them Balls here also, i just prefer royal, and yes, one of those is an IJ, she's quite big for an ij also, hope to have lots of little ones from her this year :D i look forward to pics of yours..

Kimmy, he is a very young jungle jag, he will become bright yellow with age but i agree, and i hav been thinking about drawing a few bio's with snake skin patterns, should look pretty good, one for a rainy day i think, here is a pic of an adult to show you how he'l look...

I've been keeping snakes for 14 yrs and it was until 2 yrs ago that I decided to start keeping hot ones along with the lizards most of them were rescued from people that had no business trying to keep reptiles but luckly I have brung most of them back to good health

I had decided to let go of most of my herps due to "burn out" a few yrs back but those rescues brought me back into it.and let me tell you I'm glad of it.nice going adding a nother jag to your collection.

I also wanted to ask you what do you use for enclosures?

can you send me some pics?
thanks

Python, WOW! I thought he was pretty as a nonate, he will be STUNNING as an adult. What color! That would definitely be a cool paint scheme. :D

Roninpred, your collection is gorgeous. I could never keep hots (but have been tempted by Gaboon Vipers :) ). Glad you were able to help them! I'd like to rescue a snake or lizard in the future. :)

thats good of you to take on rescue's, thats one downside to reptiles i suppose, some people buy them because they are "cool" and have no idea how to care for them, drives you mad! as for what i keep them in, my bigger girls are in 4x2x2 vivariums with branches etc drilled in, will get pics sometime (no camera at the min) and a few are in a specially built rack (pic beneath) its bigger than it looks, perfect for mid sized carpets, cost enough though.. £900!!! i think this is a hobby you cant leave for long, iv also kept reps about 15 years and went for about 1 year without them, they drew me back though and then i got my first carpet python.... you can see where that headed :)

Thank you.I was of the same opinion on hot herps but eventually I gave in.now this is something for experienced people only I wouldn't recommend noobs to the trade to get one as i said before I've kept reptiles for a while and know what I'm doing and even so I was bittten by the viper on the pic(med biils cost me an arm and a legcause insurance dind't want to pay)ask any keeper of hots and they will tell you there's only 2 kinds of venomous reptiles keepers the ones that got bitten and the one that are about to get bitten.

what makes the difference is being prepared.know what you have, know where to get antivenin and if possible keep some at home in your fridge that way you don't have to pay and arm and a leg to bring it from florida.

As for the gaboons ..those are some of the most beautiful snakes out there but also one of the most poisonous ones and also hold the record for the biggest fangs.
I used to have a rhino viper very simmilar to the gaboon but I had to get rid of it because my wife was so terrified of it.once you've entered my snake room you'd know it was there.the hissing sound is so loud and freaky it'll give you goosbumps.
if you evr want to start your reptile collection let me know ,I know of a lot of shelters and people nationwide in the need of homes for their foster pets.
thanks again for your comments.

P.S. phyton I'll try to upload some pics of the enclosures as soon a s i get a chance.right now I'm a little busy with work .
