I had a chat with eagle eye ( or Robilicus as hes known ) and he has helped me out alot, as the crown was bugging the **** outa me, but i couldnt tell why.

yea you've especially cool about the 12 million questions i seem to ask you , scott,....and ptgreek,....
sorry about that by the way ,......i know i'm a newbie,.....but i never knew this kinda site was on here so i figured i'd NEVER be able to learn this stuff...
it all seems possible now though even though i'm 15 years behind you all,......

either way ,.....bad-ass as always usurp ,.....
it's the details that make your work stand out,.......every little crinkle and crease on the masks def doesn't seem " quick "
taking each line as it comes def shows in the final product ,......bad-ass,......
yur no doctor,......but ya got patients,.....

ha ha ha

lol.

Dont worry about questions, as long as they are not completely dumb ( which they have not been ) i am happy to try help/answer any messages i get.

we ALL learn off each other, which is awesome ;)

hopefully you guys will like this when hes done.

Damn Lee !It would be great you could hav a Stopwatch that we know, how long you realy need !

Your Sculpting Threads are anytime nice to watch !

I enjoy it as always ;) !

Need more Popcorn ! Go back on Work !!

thanks Night, i think i spend more time getting the sculpt out than i actually get to work on it hehe.

i hope it makes someone see that anyone can sculpt , and give it a try ;)

Well, this thread has made someone see that anyone can sculpt, my wife helped with some advice on sculpting my first bio, now she is going to have a go at sculpting a mask as soon as I can get a suitable armature for her.

so say instead of a foam head i have a cast of my own face ..........

i don't really get the process of fitting a mask to my face exactly with the "me " cast
do i lay it into the front side while the foam is poured ?????

it's probably an easy answer,........i just don't know

I think you mean when you foam it ?

You would need to put your head cast inside a cured lated mask, then pour foam around it.

I think i saw someone post a tutorial on this recently, maybe check the Huntorials or help section ;)

oh ok right,......see i knew it'd be an obvious answer,...........

thanks usurper,.....thought it might be way harder than that ,......
figured there were 3 or 4 steps to it at least,.........

need to get my ass out there and get some oil clay ,....
i know i'll need alot of time to mess with the sculpt......

thanks for more advice usurper,.........
yoodamon

Thanks Beast, i am in no rush though, no deadline or time scale, itll be done when its done ;)

Struggling with symetry at present, the dreadlugs and horns are throwing me out, espeically since i move the horns in slightly , aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarg lol.

yea thats something else i noticed,........
not about your work,......but some dreads on some peoples masks seem to poof out too far,.....or too little,.....
do you just eyeball the angle the dreads are glued in or ,......????

appreciate the help ,...

I guess that is in the person who attatches the dreads own eyes.

Personally i now see that P2 kinda hang down, but P1 if at all possible should flow backwards slightly. ( but this maybe just my idea on things )

right right,......

yea just trying to avoid a " too poofy " head ,.....ya know ???
bio and mask are gonna have to big enough as it is,......
and i'm tall and lanky so,........don't wanna look like a bobble head,.....

i'm sure i'll ask ya to take a look once i get to that point,.....

yesterday evening i managed to mess about with some symetry and shaping, also started to tighten up the horns ( more so on the left )

I know nothing in nature is perfectyl symetrical, and the 2 sides of the P2 head differ quite abit in dread config, but i want to still amend a few things. then start tightening things up.

not sure if anyone is interested, but id say 80% so far is fingers, tools then used are a big home made rake made from a junior hacksaw blade, a wooden stick and couple of the steel dentist tools.
Width has been brought in 0.5 of a inch and is 13 inches dead now. length still just over 22. the top dread lug was extended slightly.

at this point id like to thanks Rob/Mr Fett/Meangene and Tuath for helping me see stuff. still along way to go , but their extra eyes have helped me get abit happier with the overall shape.

I hope to work on the lower mandible cheaks today if i get time as they are annoying me.
