P2 Closed Mouth Build. Raw Latex 1St Pull P24 24/11/11

WooHoo! Thanks for sharing the pics Lee, greatly appreciated. What do you mean "molds don't look pretty"? Mine look terrible compared to yours.

Good lord. I have got to get myself a copy of this when it comes time for me to buy my mask.

Gah! Site went down when I came back to edit. I realized I didn't congratulate you on making one of the greatest P2's I've seen yet. I can't believe how well that thing turned out! If I go with a P2 for my suit (definitely leaning that way) there's not a doubt in my mind whose mask I'll want.

Once again: amazing job, sir.

One question though. Do you have the final measurements for the sculpture? I saw earlier that the measurements you had for the base model were a bit larger than the bio someone measured for you. Unfortunately I haven't had time to read through all the pages yet, but has it scaled down at all? Or has anyone made a bio large enough to fit on your mask already?

Measurements were approx

12.5 inches wide
22 inches length ( to mandibles )
across the width eye level was 8.5

These will of course shrink with the latex, so i am not sure if there are any bios to fit , but HEZ did express a interest in reworking his P2 hero to a larger bio to fit this mask specifically when i provide latex cured measurements.

That is the only down side to me doing a silicone one for me, if at a later date i decide to do a p2 suit, no bio will fit for me, but so be it . :)

Well somebody could always make an over sized super Bio to fit your large melon, or you could,...(wait for it),...... sculpt a Bio!!!!
Dam i'm a genuis :D

I love it when the first couple of layers go on and they look like a predator version of Han Solo in the carbonite.
Looking good and strong Lee.
Hope thats not your other halves favourite carpet

Nice, those pictures actually help in answering alot for me. Wasn't sure how to cut the 2 halves and include the 'wedges' in the mould. Also the mandibles plaster casting also will help. Thanks for posting the info and pictures in this thread- will help alot - can't find straight up answers like these wthout searching for hours and hours through the forum.

That is still one bad-ass sculpt - better than the original film sculpt if you ask me, its got more character to it and is more defined. One question though, what are you going to using to cast the mandibles?

mandibles will be cast i latex like the masks. :D ( apart from mine which wil be silicone )

Very nice and smooth mold! This will definitely help out in future molding, as I do more research and rethink the process before my next attempt. Thanks for sharing!

Well done,Lee,I've really enjoyed looking through ur work, looking to seeing this beast with a lick of paint!

So, your first pull will be the silicone one, right? Love your threads, brother. This is definitely one of my favorite sculpts on here. Accurately described as having "more character". Can't wait to see another fantastic silicone paint up!
