P2 Closed Mouth Build. Raw Latex 1St Pull P24 24/11/11

Well this WILL be the last journey thread i do on any sculpts , dont worry.

The lair has changed, with people wanting quick fixes, and not much interest in the whole "HOW" part of how masks are sculpted and techniques that are found made up or advised upon, or how they go through different stages, when other members HELP spot things.

which is totally fine i guess., we are in a society which wants everything done yesterday, so no wonder this then carries over into our hobbies.

I have NOT been dragging my heals on purpose, i work 7 shifts in a row, add the fact that i am still renovating my own house myself, and i have had a private commision since the start of december, i have had no time for personnel fun.

As i said i will be back on this as soon as i can justify a few hours here and there. :)

by the way me and tusky are just busting.

so John/Tusky.............. BITE ME ;)

by the way me and tusky are just busting.

......so was I lol

it was aimed at everyone lol.........people voted "journey" KNOWING what you are like......then put pressure on you to hurry up.......and you dont work well under pressure.......so you allow them to vote "journey".....ALSO knowing what THEY are like lol.

lol its cool.

but sod you lot anyway

I did not expect to have other stuff interfere :) I just wanted to explain why i have not updated in a while. ( several members here know what i have had on, and i will show some pictures when it is done )

Can't wait to see what else you're going to post Lee.
I agree with your comment of "people want things Yesterday"
so true.
But I enjoy the journey because it helps me on my learning process.

Well finally got alittle time to again work on this ( being ill has its benefits ) i have added some shape to the preds neck, and done the heavy detailing on the neck, i will do the finer details next, then probably move on to finish all the dreadholes, before then finalising the crowns curve and detailing it.

Cheers guys, the texture im doing a different way, i usually use white spirits ( but they make the house stink ............so mrs surps says :D ) so this time i decided to try the stuff i use for thinning the silicone paints, CLEAN IT 11 SUPER CITRUS SPRAY, it smells of ............well surprise...... citrus hehe. it sems to work well, but does leave the clay very soft for a good few hours.

not sure if thats helpful to anyone hehe.

The only alcohol i have in the house is used for err......... drinking. :D and its fairly rare to have any of that either.
