Outrider Question

Ok been doing some research into the outrider and I was wondering why one ship has a boxed off end and seems to be the look of the one in the Shadows of the Empire game seen here:

And the other has a more rounded off engine section more like the Millenium Falcon as seen here:

Why is this and in your opinion which TRULY represents the Outrider?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the design was originally based on a heavily modified Millenium Falcon so I would go with the second option. I also HATE the gun turret mound on the first option.

You need to check out starwars episode 4 SE.....Lucas put Dash's outrider into it... But to me its the square one.

The illustration is from the ships of star wars book that has all the ships wrong, most don't even match the descriptions or the names where swapped.
there are even differences between the first and second printings.

There are even lots of things labeled incorrectly in the Chronicles book especially when it comes to scale.

Only go by what is seen in the game or in the movies.

It was a pretty low poly model, so you'd probably be better off scratching it! Do eeeeeet!

I'd go with square. Before they went under, SMT made a big resin kit of this ship. You can see pics of it here.

Last i heard the original pattern maker was doing them after SMT folded, but his website is not currently offering them.
