Here's the finished product:

Built the wig & dress from scratch with the exception of the wig cap, 'gem', & hoop skirt UNDER the bottom part. :)

My daughter looked wonderful, imho, & I couldn't have been more pleased...

...& I'm back for a while, after a LONG absence. We'll see for how long.

{Gonna' finally tackle the DL-44 build that I've had parts for, for several years, next. :D }

that wig must have been really heavy

We wound up putting 5 pounds of weight up in each of the main front curls, (far enough up inside so that the weight wasn't visible), toward the forehead.

PLUS we added 5 pounds of weight attached directly to the wigcap at each of the temples, with the yarn from those two weights threaded down & hanging freely at roughly waist level, under the hoop skirt.

Otherwise we couldn't even get the thing to stay on her head. :D
