Original Tie Pilot Helmet Roll Call

I dug around multiple forums, but couldn't find anything soooo

I was wondering how many of the Tie Pilot helmets made for ANH still survived/were accounted for.

What we know :

14 helmets made originally

4 converted into At-At helmets ( maybe only two?)

8 original helmets known (?)

So if that's accurate, there are still 2 helmets possibly out there. ( 4 if only two were turned into At-At)

Does that sound right? Corrections welcomed!

Weren't just 2 converted to AT-AT helmets? I believe they added the red stripe to the same 2 helmets to make it look like 4 different helmets.

That fact probably came from starwarshelmets.com which also notes that only one AT-AT helmet is left. The other stolen/destroyed/hidden/lost.
I have no idea if those remarks are true or not.

There is this one too from starwarshelmets.com:

"Not sure what the background to this is but its certainly one of the ANH TIE's. Maybe it was an unused prototype Bounty Hunter from the line-up, or perhaps just a case of them butchering an old set for some ESB set dressing....."

All the hero Tie's are accounted for. The one above is in the archives but it's been painted over with black paint. Not sure why maybe for use in ROTJ?
