Hey all,

We've recently added a new page to the site to showcase our displays for original Terminator props and costumes. We're actually just wrapping up another (a T1000 costume) so be sure to check the page again soon.

Terminator Films - Original Movie Prop and Costume Displays, Custom mannequins and theming

First up is a T2 Arnold costume. The client had the costume elements (almost all of which are screen used). For the body, we started with a raw FX casting of Arnold's body from Turboman and modified that for stability and arm pose (the arms are somewhat poseable). The AMAZING silicone head was created by Howard Senft. Can't stress enough how good Howard's work on the head was! Startlingly realistic.

The base is my favorite part, and it was created by Richard Riley. Rubble, a submerged endoskeleton, modified video screen, twisted wreckage and concrete... themed to the max!

The next one was for Desi DoSantos, who's got the full costume, the shades, the shotgun AND the motorcycle! He had a basic body but needed the display completed with a custom head and hands. Howard Senft provided us the raw resin casting (bald) and Robb DeNicola sculpted the hair over that. Brian Lewis and the late Harry Inman created the life-cast hands, further modified for pose and with a great added mech to allow the right hand to hold the shotgun.

Robb's hair sculpt, with cut outs for the glasses (a sort of cheat necessary to get the proper fit):

Awesome work Tom. I love how the display for Desi focuses on the costume and bike and let's them take the lead so to speak in the display.

Both amazing displays but I do agree the base and the silicone head in the first one are unreal. Even on their own they would be great

Whatever those displays cost to produce, they are worth every penny. Fantastic work Tom and everyone involved.:thumbsup

That display is gorgeous and I swear the Arnie in the first pic is ready to look right at you it's so real.

So much awesomeness there I don't know where to start so I will just say Congrats to ALL who contributed!

Thanks all! And special thanks for recognizing the contributions of everyone involved in our projects!

My name may be on the sign, but we've built a really incredible team of artists, including several at the local studio, some freelancers around the country and other contributors with a range of specialties. Please check out the "about the artists" page on our site if you want to read a little more about them: About the Artists of Tom Spina Designs

I'm constantly in awe of these guys, and extremely proud of the work we've been able to produce together! So I'll extend my thanks and congrats to them as well :)

best,
Tom

The base is phenomenal. Can't get over the detail in Arnie's face! Unreal. Would love to have something like this.
