Original 1977 ANH Stormtrooper Armor and Helmet

This is all very exciting i have to say.

Not wanting to gloss over the marvelousness of the helmet situation but whats the word on the full armour situation?
Have you guys made any progress in that department?

Yes they have, I've seen a pic of the chest armour, which I THINK is already finished :thumbsup

+1 wannab.
I am sorry your original post didnt get much attention. I am curious about the crease on the back tube especially.

RS, I assume this detail is a result of something in the particular pull and not something sharpened on the mould?
You guys dont appear to have done anything to the helmets finer features but can you confirm if any modifications were made at all in this area and around the corners of the mouth?

Thanks

And to any member who may see this as starting a fight please note I am as excited by this as any of you. I certainly dont want any bad feelings to surround this helmet as is so common with other trooper projects.
Simply trying to figure out why certain things look the way they do.

Any word on whether they are addressing either of the issues I posted earlier?

Doug

I don't know, I haven't seen any other pic of the helmet more than the ones posted already here, but I will ask Rob to answer here if possible :thumbsup

Here is a cropped view of the air channeling I was referring to. Most noticeable on the right half, but looks to continue all the way across.

You talking about the groove at the top of the rear tube? It's on the SFS helmet too, and that's a painted helmet, so it's an accurate feature.

If you are talking about something else, then I'm not sure what you are referring to.

Hi Guys, OK, the line is an original feature BUT is accentuated on the test pull photographed. We are not overly concerned by this as the new back on cap, our working master has been completed. We will be pulling some over the weekend and will post up the resulting pulls. Needless to say the finished master is better than the test pulls, and will only add to the finished helmets. It captures more of the original features, but as the original we are lucky enough to have is a nice pull no original features you would not want are present.

Have a little faith, you guys will love the finished helmet from the masters created.

Awesome.
If I have to acquire it bit at a time from top to toe over a prolonged period of time it'll be more than worth it.
Having never felt truly satisfied with the myriad of ANH accurate armours over the years due to obvious reasons I cant express how truly excited I am about this, the real deal, no quibbles answer to my prayers on the horizon.
:thumbsup

We really do need to start a new thread as this one is beginning to move away from the talk about SiMan's screen used pieces and is becoming more about the replicas they are creating.

Hi SiMan,

Don't worry we appreciate the fact that you are listening. I have total faith in you guys. I personally don't mind the line on the back cap as it is on other screen helmets. The point i made was the areas highlighted in the pic below at the end of the frowns. I also appreciate this is a test pull.

I for one cannot wait to get one of these in hand - I also can't wait for next months payday to get more :love

Keep up the good work guys.

Cheers Chris
