thanks crystalbaud, well im a big tf fan, mainly g1 as i grew up with the original series, so i wanted to make the ultimate homage to the autobot leader,
thanks vshore100, thanks for the kind words, well im trying to build the ultimate optimus prime, one that all transformer fans and model builders will be proud off.

axe is now finished, the first thing i had to do was build the lower half so that it would screw into the hands slots on prime, the so i bought another bubble blower and used this handle as it was nice and sturdy, i cut the old handle down so i kept the screw in part, i drilled a hole through the handle and epoxyed the bolt in,followed by the top part of on the handle i kept, to get the ball shape i used 2 fake security cameras from my local poundland, these were cut to shape and epoxyed on , then i wanted to get a ball of fire look, as if energon was flowing through this axe, so i engraved loads of grooves over the ball, i then added a coat of yellow glass paint,, for the spikes, the lids of superglue were used, ive been saving these for a while, they were epoxyed on,and finally i then dusted a bit of black on,followed by 3 shades of orange, i then gently dusted the black up the stalk of the axe,heres the pics

heres some pics with his gun in his hand, and the energon axe on, got a small alteration to do on the thumb, but overall, it looks like im on the right track, theres also a pic of prime in kit form etc,

heres the first pics of what will be a special build, i made the the basic shape,this piece is in two pieces as ive got something special lined up for this, each half was made from 3 pieces of wood, i then started covering with styrene, lots of trimming and cutting, sanded down, just got to do the other side now, and use some car filler in the small gaps etc, heres the pics.

heres the latest guys, first i set about inserting some hidden magnets into the two halfs, they dont have to be super powerful, but enough to hold them together and for me to pull them apart, onced hidden i covered with filler and sanded,i also inserted to guides,in one half,and drilled two holes in the other side, detail was added using card and styrene, the ball part of the matrix, start out as............... a hamster ball, this had to be cut in half and the hole where the lid goes was the perfect shape for the hole part of the matrix, the two half were cut to fit into the arms of the matrix and epoxyed in, then i covered in car filler to strengthen and lose the holes, as you can see, its starting to take shape, it bought a tear to the ole eye to see this at this stage, heres the pics

thanks Skor, glad you impressed with my prime, well as you can see,im a big tf fan, im not really a collector of the toys, but my prime is based on my 20th anniversay prime.
i have been asked to attend the auto assembley as im in the uk, but im not sure how id get there, as transport is an issue,as cars of the road.. so i might have to leave it to next year,as by then i'd of built his display base too.
