Official Ghostbusters PKE Meter Prop

Mine just came in, it's really cool. Unfortunately I don't have any pics but I can answer any questions.

Mic, the white mailer box it comes in measures 12.25" x 6.25" x 6.25".

Well that's all going to depend on the owner. I think it has a good weight to it and the sounds are loud enough to feel real without being too annoying. Only complaint from me would be the silver "weathering" which isn't applied too well. It's not glaring and doesn't take away from it too much but I'm sure it'll bother some folks here.

Thank goodness for fine grit sandpaper then.

So how exactly does battery removal work? And is the charge port on the bottom just for show? Does it look good?

Still no word on my order yet either. :unsure

'Looking forward to seeing pictures from those who have received them already!

does the weathering look like something that could come off with alcohol without runing the rest of the finish? Does it have the speckled paintjob?

You have to take the entire back plate off to remove the batteries. They're in a weird Y or Triangle arrangement instead of being side by side. I'm not familiar enough with the original prop to say if the port looks good or not. I know the bottom is where the on/off switch is. There's also an LED down there that flashes red for a second when you turn it on.

Im interested in seeing if they really did get the correct flash sequence on the wing lights.

You can see the different sequences in this video: YouTube - Mattel Ghostbusters PKE Meter Replica Review

It does have a speckled finish which would probably start to come off it you used alcohol on the weathering.

Mine's scheduled to arrive on Monday. Works for me, I get off work early anyway, so I'll be able to pick it up.

Got mine! It's cool! Good weight. Chaser lights work great. The attempt at weathering is kind of lame. The only substantive disappointment for me is the sound. It just doesn't have the presence, the power, the ACCURACY of the movie sound FX. Which really sucks and drops it down a few notches. Ultimately, it does feel a bit toy-like... plastic... but, hey, for fifty bucks, it's still pretty great. And the box it comes in (the inner box, not the shipping carton) is a simulated cardboard crate. It's terrific. As are the in-jokes in both the instruction manual and the collectors box. Here's some pics.

yeah the sound was the one thing that stood out to me from videos, didnt quite sound right... thought maybe putting something metal over the speaker to rattle a bit might help..
