Officer Kroenen leathers - alternatives?

now in anticipation of my Jarvis Kroenen lid arriving; does any1 have cheaper alternatives to the Officer (you know the one I am talking abt) Kroenen's leathers

Have already contact SouthBeach leathers, and with the UK excahnge rate as it is at the moment, its out of my budget.

Thanks goes to LDR btw - major help with finding loads of the accessories (almost all from re-enactor places in the UK)

heh - aye, but coming up to a busy point in job, gonna have to put everyting on holod soon till spring

for leather chaps, I used a fat chicks pleather pants. Easy to tighten the waist and shorten and tighten the legs. Voila! Instant 'leather' lederhosen. Plus, only cost $10 off of ebay due to the fact that nobody in the right mind wants these kind of pants! For the leather tunic, I used an old leather car coat. Worked like a charm. Same for the trnech...An old leather trench, no way accurate, but no one could tell...In this pic, I am far too inebriate to actually keep it all straight. I also left off most (some say all) things that referred to naziism. The mask speaks for itself when it comes to who this is...

as alreayd eluded to in another thread in this section; another problem - both personal and public - that I will have to face is the swastika/nazi issue. on the movie version, there was even a A HItler tag on the tunic.

oh well.... need sometime to think and consider I guess

I have a full set of leathers, completely emblazoned with the appropriate motifs. That I'll use when i display him. However, I figured that I'd be out and about with some beautiful grrls and lots of drunks. There's always a chance someone, in the throes of alcohol, would take offense and really, in that state, ppl will do whatever they want. I figured, for my mates, it was better I went without.

although, would prob only wear the comeplete cossie at a convention - as in get changed into and out of the costume within the convention centre itself

Well, big war movie fan here I can't remember off hand but was it a "HitlerJugend" cuff band that he wears?

reel icons? - u mean the 'other section' in the UKG?

thats the plan - but I seem to have lots of plans and no real complete cossie atm.

kinda using the exacting requirements in the G and my own OCD atm to guide this project. Also the fact that I got some real good info on actual prop parts off this board already!
