Hi all,
Well i recently bought one of Sean Bradley's ODST helmets. I decided to paint it up like my character in Halo Reach. I am an experience painter when it comes to sculpture, models and I have even done freelance professional 2d texture work for the games industry but this is my first costume project. Anyway here are the results. The pictures really aren't too good and i will try and get some better ones to replace them with. I still have some work left to do including:
1) Somehow getting a silver vizor
2) putting mesh into the vents on the helmet (the 4 angular vents on the front side part of the helmet).
3) misc paint touch ups.
4) padding on the inside
5) I may add some of the modular attachments available in reach.

Grabbed a willing model for a quick snap shot.

A big thank you to Sean for making this and providing the excellent instructions. I ended up just painting everything by hand other than the base "steel" purely because that is how i am used to work. Tried the toothpaste and sanding method for creating wear and I just couldn't get used to it.
p.s. upon viewing the photos again they really don't do the helmet any kind of justice, even if i do say so myself lol, i will post better ones asap.
