What a nice Job, it's really great to see that you machined your own parts.
Here in Holland we say "If you have good tools it's half the job".

It´s not alone to have the tools, there is also the human part. I´ve seen builds from people, done with a drillpress or even a drill clamped to the table instead of having a lathe, and they looked truly wonderfull. I´m not that good, so i nned some help from my tools.

But yeah, having the correct tools for a job eases it up a lot.

Well, if you can get it cheap enough...... it´s a variation of the used standard RO-72. So the shoulderstock can be removed, and the barrel can be sawed shorter, that would/should give you the correct endpiece and length. But to say anything regarding the sights ..... better pics are needed.

Is it a left handed version?

OK, here they are. It all comes down to the details of your parts, after disassembling the "middle"sight and the rear "scoperail" (?).


This is the way the sight sits on the end originally.
These round parts slip inside the sight.

And its round underside follows the shape of the receiver.

As the middle part of the receiver has this kind of rail

The original shaped sight couldn´t sit very well there

And there are no mounting holes or something that way


And at the end a pic from the side, just for comparision

I assume yours has some altered parts, then it is the question for what level of accuracy you strive, and what´s the price of this piece - if both are in line with your wishes, go for it.
That are the places you should have a really close look at.

Yesterday i had some free time, and instead of working again on other guys stuff (sorry pals ) i decided to work on my own blasters. It´s another feel to see some progress on things, instead of just making a part and sending it away - as much as i love to help, it´s better to see parts coming together.

I put the time in cutting the last side piece from 1,0mm sheet-alu, and after that i glued the greeblies to the side pieces, painted and weathered them. And after that .... the long awaited moment .... i mounted and glued them finally to the grip shells of the gun.

I think i like it:

Next job: the scope and/or the plug for the front sight.

Sorry for waking up this old thread :lol - but i have some new parts i would like to share.

Some of us were waiting for Dullas scope, but it seems he is still to stressed to have time for any progress. So i´ve spent today some hours in front of my lathe, after checking pics and making size calculations.

And this is the outcome of my try to make my own scope:

The parts breakdown is made in a way that it could be cast, as maching it is to time consuming if someone would request me to make one.

I think it looks not to bad. Feel free to chime in if i missed something.
