Nu Blaster in da house (SW of course), Jabbas palace guard blaster

Nice clean work, Michael.

But I think you put one of the fins the wrong way round. The two 3mm plates should be identical as I'm guessing they are both the same found part.

Very good Michael, veeeery good :)

If only I had the time to proceed on ANY of my projects :cry

Markus

Thanks, mate. :cool

You could stop some years with building, and i couldn´t catch up to your amount of blasters. :lol There will come a moment you have more time again.

Hi Marcus,

thanks for the input. :)

To be honest, i´ve read your comment in your thread about beeing them "one-sided".
But i saw a pic these days that made me think they are beveled from both sides, more or less as a flatbladed screwdriver. Have to check where/if i saved it.

Edit:

Found it. You meant this, right?

But there is something visible in the dark, not good, but enough to make me think it´s mirrored from both sides:

And if not ...... nearly every pic is from its left side. And from that side mine still looks right, in every case. ;)

Damn. Checked my box of scopes/rings/mounts and the only thing I have like this is actually machined into the underside of an old 4 x 20 scope. :(

It´s a strange kind of mount that was attached to the 4x20 Sterling when i bought it for my EE-4.

Lovely job as usual!

I'm curious about the rear end of the scope piece you've got there, is this an identified found item I've missed, or have you made it yourself? I see two in your photo, are they part of the scope knobs also seen in the pictures (same colour gray plastic) ?

Either way, they look perfect to me.

I've just had a delivery of my first original 60's visible v8 kit, so I have one original Motor/Coil piece but I think it will be a while until I find a second! I'll have to substitute in one of my CE casts until then. Ever since I learnt I had the exact R072 model, I've wanted to do this with as many original parts as possible!

That's a little piece that I identified some time ago that I have yet to reveal.
They're fairly rare/expensive, but the good news is they've been cast. Looking at the pics those appear to be gray castings.
If you don't mind I'd like to do the part reveal in another thread.
I'm pretty proud of that little discovery. :)

Well, what an exciting little tease, don't make us wait too long ;)

Thanks, Pete.

They are casts i got from a friend.

The scope knobs are for a GK-scope i´m working on.

No big news here.

As the newer RO-72 have other screws than the old ones, i changed the phillipshead screws.

And i turned me from alu some M3 bolts, which then were cut to the needed length to stay clear from the receiver.

Drilled holes in the alu-sidepieces

And in the gun

the inside was flattened with a dremel, and the sidepieces were mounted.

After that the receiver was put back in it´s place.

That´s all, for now.

All neat and tidy as usual! :thumbsup

What a nice Job, it's really great to see that you machined your own parts.
Here in Holland we say "If you have good tools it's half the job".
Right on Lichtbringer...
