Not sure, can I discuss this?

Someone that was once a friend ripped me a new one to the tune of
$4,000 and has ignored my every attempt to make contact with him.

He is on many of these forums, with several names, and I want to make
sure potential customers know what their risk is when dealing with him.

Can I, as a newbie, discuss this here on RPF? I am not really a newbie
though, I did have a user name that I didn't use for a while and don't
recall the password and my attempt to recover that password have failed.
 
not sure what the coc says about it, but if its someone on the board, I for one would like to know...
 
If it is to inform others of a scammer or theif, then yes. If this is just a rant, then you need to post it in the Off Topic forum.

I suspect he is on this fourm. I know his original ID was banned but I
know of at least one sock puppet and i am certain he has more.

I do need to rant but I can't do that yet....at least not here.
In the mean time, I would like to save someone else from being put at
risk by engaging into a financial transaction with this person.


EDIT:

How much information can I give here?? what type/level of proof can I provide (ie; screen grabs, emails or pictures)

as long as it is factual, and this person refuses to discuss w/ you privately, I'd say its all fair game (barring personal info like address, phone number, etc.)
 
This person has ignored me for the better part of 4 years. Last year I posted a thread on ASAP about this and he called me right away. He said he'd make me whole again and asked me to delete the thread. At that time, I wanted to believe he was still a friend so I asked MJF to delete the thread. Suffice it to say, I was never made whole and he has once again resumed ignoring me.


EDIT:

I know he is on ASAP and Propfixs and I suspect he is here as well as Coolscifi.com but I can't be 100% certain.

well as long as it pertains to a member here I see know reason not to divulge the details...
 
My advice is to bring your suspicions about alleged sock puppets to the mod staff BEFORE you post anything here.

I need a Moderators help.

I was friends with a member that is banned from here.
In the course of my friendship with this person, he told me of a sock puppet he uses on ASAP since his primary name has a somewhat negative rep. That ASAP sock puppet is listed as a member here. I believe it to be the same person.

Still, an important thread for all newbies to read, and post in if you have need to.

I personaly keep the thread bookmarked as a reference before I purchase certain things.
 
Beyond my capabilities as a newbie mod, but I have flagged it for a senior mod to take a look at. You can pm me and I will forward it through for a look at.

I went through all nine pages...here is a list...I might be missing one or two...
I also added my own Rippoff Report to the thread.

The MOD's are researching the information I had to give. Once they give me the go-ahead I will make it public. I know that once I do, this **** will see it and perhaps contact me. I will be starting a similiar thread on ASAP, depending on that sites rules.

You're free to post it on my forum along with anything you like in the way of evidence aside from personal contact info like addresses/phone numbers.
