not really a prop, but a lot of sculpting...

Don't get me wrong, I honestly think you've done some fine work and you're a very talented guy - but the original sculpt by Any Bergholtz holds a much stronger resemblance for me:

Your finishing skills are excellent though and I like the battle damage work :thumbsup

Cheers,
Steve.

thanks fellas :)

oh and Steve, I agree with you,I've always said I couldn't have made these figures without Andy's amazing sculpt..... I've always praised it in my various forum posts.

All i did was to replace the neck, which was the main stumbling block keeping it from looking like Arnie, and then the ears which were very flat against the head for whatever reason. Other than that it was just personal preferences if my own.... more downturned mouth, lesser frown lines etc

Andy is a phenomenal sculptor and i can only hope to reach his levels of talent. Maybe one day :redface

No way, you're definitely at that top level already. I just meant that I didn't personally think that the original Arnie sculpt needed changing. You've really got the gift though. Have you done any portraiture from scratch?

well if any of you have been following my blog you'll have seen that in September this year me and my other half (of 12 years!) Jane are getting married. Woohoo!

In order to try to acheive the absolute trip of our dreams (we've talked about this dream trip for 12 years... always knowing it would never happen. But we've decided to try to make it happen for the honeymoon!), I'm selling some things I never thought I'd sell. There's a couple of props going (MR OWK ANH weathered, MR FC phaser... maybe some other bits and pieces) but the main things... and these were the hardest things to decide to let go of... were my custom 12" figures that I'd made... the same ones that you've seen in this thread. My prototypes if you like.

I really... really never wanted to let these go. These were gonna be with me forever, my own personal museum collection of customs... that's how I look at them.

But..... in order to try to give us this amazing honeymoon road trip across the USA, I'm letting them go. I had to decide which one to sell first (and would you believe it took me about an hour of standing in front of my display shelves to actually be able to say "ok, that one!"

Anyway... I've got painting to get on with, lol... so... with a drum roll.... the first figure I'm letting go is........

*drum roll*

*more drum roll, lol*

I just found this thread and wanted to say your talent is just incredible! I have never been really interested in those statues because they never looked right. If they were like the ones you modified then I would definitely have a collection.

A company that sells these really needs to get in touch with you. Thanks for sharing.

Congratulations and good luck with the wedding. I hope you don't have to sell too much of your collection
