Not a replica (unfortunately???)

A few years back, our local morning TV news folks asked for photos of whatever farmers did after they had completed their morning chores. I took the enclosed picture, sent them the 35mm duplicate with considerable informative/historic text on the reverse. The following week, they put it on and read the entire text. We have two of these guns in operating condition, but, no replicas of anything. Not sure about this imaging posting........

I saw one of the Star Wars movies more than a few years ago. The white clad soldiers were carrying Lewis guns. Someone told me that they also used MG 34s.???

Does anyone here build dummy guns from real parts??? I do have a set of parts for a Spanish M-45, a kind of copy of the German MP 40..........

Yes, I do. My current build is an Aliens Smartgun, which is based off of a MG42 (well, technically, I'm using a Yugo M53), and your photo caught my eye ;)

I wish I was "unfortunate" enough to have a real MG-42.

I missed the boat on the cheap parts kits and semi-autos and I don't never be able to afford a real transferable one.
