North Texas Prop Party Date Reminder - February 20th

Phillip, awesome party and as always a perfect host. Thank you again from Margaret and I. Absolutely fantastic to see everyone again.

Great to meet you and Margaret. I enjoyed the chat and The Last Starfighter game tutorial :)

Philip,

Thanks for being our gracious host once again. The Chili Cookoff was a super idea and I hope we can carry on the tradition for next year. I am already tweaking my recipe (more heat and steak).

It was great to see everyone again. I had a blast!. I wish that I had some pictures to share, but alas I locked my camera, cigars, and keys in my truck minutes after arriving. At least I got my chili out before locking the truck.

Thanks again to Philip.

P.S. Neil, your R2 was a great scratchbuild. I've been eating a lot of tuna lately ...maybe I should work on my shoulder hubs next? ;)

Make sure you look around for the more screen accurate tuna can! :lol

Shackman, thanks for the kind words. It was your and Vader1974 showing off your R2's at Evan's that got me started on this. at the rate I'm going I have probably another 4 years to go though :unsure

Again...awesome time! can't wait until next year!!!

we need a 6 month pre-planning bbq/hang out session I think. :love

Speaking of which Vader1974 needs to help me finish my smoker, if he can keep from locking himself outta his car :lol (sorry Brian....too easy)

Neil

Thanks, Philip! It was wonderful seeing so many awesome props and getting to talk to all the talented builders and collectors.

Additional thanks to all the chili entrants - I tried them all, and all were exceptional.

It looks and sounds like you folks had a good time. I'm not sure if I would've tasted any of the chili. Especially Jeff's. :lol

Man I wish I could of been there. I could not find a sitter and did not think anyone would appreciate me showing up with my 3.5 month old son. :(

Thanks for hosting Philip.

I had a great time meeting new friends and catching up with some old ones. I am already looking forward to next year!

Here are some of the pics I took.

Feel free to add any or all to the gallery if you wish.

I have to say, its CRAZY to see one of my Ooze canisters in those pics.
To think that something I made is worth showing off to others like that is just... cool. its an awesome feeling thats for sure.

If I'm not mistaken, this isn't one of your canisters. This one was all PVC made by another member here, Angelus.

Haha oops.
The slots looked a little narrow, I thougt it was just a skewed photo.

BTW, to comment on your original post...if yours WAS there, it certainly would have been show worthy as well! :thumbsup
