Felt like doing some knives/swords from skyrim, as it has some pretty unique looking weapons in the game. I worked on the Nordic Dagger from the Dragonborn DLC and Mehrune's Razor at the same time, just finished the dagger first (I'll upload Mehrune once I finish painting it, it looks awesome so far).
Here's an imgur link as this site seems to rotate/delete anything I upload: http://imgur.com/a/Bcnc0

Found a still from the wiki and drew up a outline in CS6 so everything would be to scale (length is about 38cm tip to pommel). Finally found some 3mm PVC sheeting hiding in a local Bunnings (hardware shop in Aus), traced the design, cut with an exacto and glued everything together. The blade was 9mm thick and I filled in the edges with car filler instead of sanding down the PVC, felt a bit easier to me.

Got a cheap wooden dowel about 12.5mm thick and cut that to 10cm, and used some apoxie sculpt for the handle guard. Originally I planned to do the hilt and pommel with apoxie, but I didn't do a very good job with the pommel. So I shaped some Monster Clay into the 'hook' shape, made a mold using Pinkysil and cast in Easycast resin (Aus equiv of Smooth-On). Drew on a design inspired by some other builders versions and art and carved that into the plastic. Glued everything together and sanded it to 400 grit, did a primer coat and made a mold.

Had to waste 2-3 casts due to bad venting, very annoying. For some reason the seams aren't the best on raw casts so a small bit of work was needed (mostly just the pommel and back of the blade).

Painting time. Base coat of black for the moment as a test run, will probably do black/brown with my airbrush next time for some depth. I dry brushed a bunch of metallic paints with a ratty brush, and seal it with a matt clear coat. For the finish I glued some faux fur along the handle, and bought some leather scraps to wrap around the handle (they were too short, tried to make it work). Honestly for this attempt it looks nice, but I'll be trying to find some long leather/brown cord to wrap instead.

If people like the look of it I'll probably do a run on here.
