Noble Collection Time Turner question

Because solid sterling silver is worth more than gold plated.

The original was on display at ComicCon this year... here's one of the images found of it with a bit of google-fu::

I've held the gold one, and it really feels cheap, plasticky almost. Just be aware of what you're buying. It looks pretty good, though.

The best one I've seen so far is the Japanese made promo. You can find them on eBay for about $100 or less now. I have the Japanese one and the NC and the promo is much nicer. The color looks more realistic, it really spins, and the engraving is really sharp. The NC one is made to sit in the display box.

Thats good to know since the time turner was something that I was looking into. Now the engravings on the Japanese version are they filled in with anything to better read it?

Darth,

Buy the gold plated one. After all it was gold colored in the movie. The sterling one is just that...sterling......some people will buy this to wear and want a real precious metal or they just like sterling. Its also an excuse to raise the price to a ridiculous level just because its made of sterling even though there wouldn't be even an ounce of silver in it....my guess it would be under an ounce. I'm sure because I examined mine. Theres a huge markup when it comes to jewelery so buy the gold plated one especially if you just want one to display.

So I was wondering what the difference is between the two different versions of the Noble Collection Time Turners.

Aside from the obvious, gold/ silver and the price. Is there any particular reason to pay more than double the price for the silver one?
