Ninth Doctor Costume Jumper

I'm looking to put together a Ninth Doctor (Who) Costume, and I'm having trouble with the jumper. Finding a v-neck jumper with a prominent seam down the center in summer is proving difficult, and all I'm finding online is sweaters with the wrong cut. Has anyone identified the proper jumper for the Doctor, or at least something approximate? I'm coming up dry.

No leads on a good jumper, but if you could find one that was right in every other aspect, it should be pretty easy to take a half-inch or so tuck down the center front to make it look like a seam. Just a thought if you get desperate.

That center seem doesn't bother me so much since that seems to only be on his green jumper (or the others are so dark you can't see it). But all the jumpers I see have crew-neck collars and wrists or knit wrists and the Doctor's jumpers have double hemmed wrists. I personally much prefer wearing double hemmed wrist long sleeve garments to the ribbed wrists I'm finding.

I'll have to get some screencaps to help out I suppose.

From what I remember it looks more like a long sleeve sweatshirt than a jumper, also I think he wore different colours at some point, the best episode for screebn caps would be 'Fathers Day' as he takes his jacket off for a while when they are trapped in the church, good luck :thumbsup

Well what's the British word for sweatshirt? I know everyone in the production refered to it as a jumper, including the Doctor.

Anyway, here's the screencaps for reference:

I know this is almost a decade late, but the jumpers are from a UK manufacturer called John Smedley. Their jumpers are the ones Eccleston wore exclusively (fairly thin wool with ribbed v-neck collars and ribbed cuffs), and they're very expensive, especially for a cosplay item (starting at about £125.00 UK).

There are other, more affordable options that are close enough for government work, as they say: St John's Bay, The Territory Ahead, Hanes, and Haggar all make/sell thin-ish jumpers here in the US and are all good proxies for Eccleston's wardrobe. A trip to your local resale shop, or even scoping out eBay should yield some good and affordable choices.

The one that's the Holy Grail, though, is the green jumper with the seam down the centre (first seen in 'Dalek'). As the Smedley jumpers were/are seasonal, it's nigh impossible to find that particular style, so if that's the one you're going for, locate a good ersatz jumper in the right colour, or at least close enough, and have a tailor put the seam down the centre for you.
