Hey Chris. I should be able to sell you some of my fabric. I would love to source what it is and be able to buy more if needed.

So today I had a lot of help from Pitbull. He allowed me to use his resources for the electronics that he uses and even gave me the info on the accurate EL sheet (though I ordered the same kind he uses because I think it looks better and brighter). So a big THANKS to you Mike.

I also wanted to give a thanks to Gary Weaver who gave me great pointers on the thermoforming and helped with the idea of glueing 2 sheets of foam together. THANKS Gary!

I hope to have the EL NIKE logo lit up as soon as I get the items.

That would be Super nice from you. What do you think how much i will need. My plan is to Cover the foam with a complete sewn fabric part and just glue the lace the heel and the Upper ankle Part to the shoe. I want to have the same Seam on the lace part like the original One.

Thanks GF. Yeah I wish I had the ability/tools to vacform the white ankle piece but it's about 90% accurate. It needs to be slightly bigger and rounded on the bottom but it's decent.

As for a "kit"....I don't think that would be possible. I might do a couple of conversions but since I am planning on having the clear soles installed, I might not be able to get too many clear soles, since they take a long time to make.

Most likely I will do about 4-5 pairs maximum.


I took these pics today. I haven't cut out the triangle loop yet but it is there and all I have to do is cut the fabric and glue it back.

Also the NIKE logo was just something I laser printed up on clear plastic adhesive and stuck on the temporary ankle strap for reference.

damn. Nice work man. I don't drop by this forum to comment much anymore. When I do, I'm pleased to see some eyecandy every now and then. Great job and VERY worthy of comment.

Jedifyfe, what kind of glue did you use for the fabric. Just sewing is not enough to show the laces under the fabric. I need to glue it on that spot.

I haven't glued them together yet. I will most likely use Shoe Goo.

you dont think that will make the bottom portion look odd since it'll be streched out? I just picture it looking wierd towards the bottom especially since the upper of the shoe has a very slimming effect going on

Nope because the sole is a bit forgiving with the shape. I have hotglued a pair together to see how it looks and it is fine. Plus the "gap" is only about 3/16"

I totally appreciate this type of concern and I welcome more! PLEASE. Anything that will help me out or lead me to a more accurate replica, the better.
