Yeah, also I like the fact that he is wearing them so casually like any other shoes. But that's how shoes should be, they should be worn. He paid top dollars for them by supporting the cause and now he is wearing them. Hopefully all fans get to wear them like that in 2015.

Hi Guys,
I am looking at the auction now & I remember reading something like "limited to 1,500 & no more will be produced" in past auctions but its no longer in the item description now, am I missing something?

Hmmm...
I just looked and you are right - there is no mention of them being limited edition, though I am also trying to recall if it ever did as well.
I firmly believe Nike is well aware of the popularity of these shoes and I also believe the "2011" Nike Mag indicates they have plans on releasing further variations of the shoe under the "Mag" name - perhaps even a version based on the concept drawings.
Considering how well Nike kept this whole project a secret for so long, whatever they have up thier sleeve we are going to have to wait and be patient.

From all the video's and interviews they put on youtube yesterday, I really think they will release an updated version in 2015. Mark Poon you should definitily get your hands on a pair....and reverse engineer them for some knock-offs for fans worldwide.
I really think Nike will continue to make the "Mag" but NOT the movie version. We will see various models that incorperate some of the Mag's most distinguishable design features, like the lights and the midsole shapes.
Just take a look at the concept shoes shown in the video....you can already see that those designs are very much in par with the kind of sneakers Nike currently has on the market.

I have no financially capability to reproduce knock-offs & even if I have, I would not want to risk getting sued by Nike.
The Mcflys I'm selling are hand made, one-by-one by a retired shoe maker, initially I commissioned him to put together a pair for me but got him to make more when bttf fan & sneaker collectors wanted them. Also, the guy who made him the rubber outsoles has gone out of business so he's putting the McFlys together with whatever outsole stock he's got left & once they're gone, that's it!

I don't think that in any of the listings, it was ever mentioned that after these 1500 none will ever be made.
The only thing it says on the listings in this regard is this (pic linked from an auction that ended on 09 September)
The only mention of 'never to be produced again' was in interviews etc etc after the event launching.
And even then, the information given was scanty and evasive at best.
So your guess, Mark, is as good as anyone's.

I guess the $3800.00 question is -
with the shoes being full sizes only, for someone that has a half sized foot (8.5,9.5,10.5,11.5) would you want to buy smaller and hope that if/when you wore the shoe it would stretch? Or do you go a half size bigger and have a little bit of slip?
I'm thinking half size bigger and double up the socks so as not to "stress" any aspect of the shoe.
