Was hoping to get these for the recent average of $2800 but it is what it is and I am just happy to be getting a pair....and like I said, the money is going to charity and NOT some bloodsucking reseller!!

It's a bitter sweet victory. Don't forget, now I have to sell a helluva lot of Dexter boxes and a few things in my collection to pay off the new Credit Card balance I have!!!
Glad I recently recieved my new Venture Rewards Visa card - you know, the one advertised with the Vikings. No interest for one year so I should be covered....but until then, looks like no more major prop purchases for at least a year.

It's costing me as much as having a baby I think! :lol I don't know, ask Pitbull - he's recently a proud father I believe!

As far as pictures go - Nike did SUCH a wonderfull job photographing the product, the best I can show off is me holding them with the biggest grin on my face!!
Also....don't tell me I'm the ONLY RPFer so far to win a pair?? Am I? Do I get to say "FIRST"

So am I the first RPFer to get these? I haven't heard anyone else say they got a pair. I would rather more of these go to fans than those greedy resellers.

I've been bidding today, but no luck so far.
I've made a decision to try for a size 12, so I can at least get them on my feet if I want.
Sadly, size 12s have gone up again today. Boo. We'll see what the next couple of days bring, but my backup plan is just to bid on a size 7 or 8 so I can at least get a pair.

We still don't know how far these prices are going to drop in the next few days. I wasn't willing to take that chance on top of me being extremely impatient.

Don't forget to keep all the paperwork on hand come tax time. The way it's organized, it's technically a donation. Tax credits could knock you back under the 3 grand mark in the long term if that helps you sleep a little better.

Yeah I'm hoping the prices do drop but I don't see them dropping that much especially since they are adding new auctions at earlier times now. It's such a let down knowing I wont be able to get a pair. I'm glad someone here got a pair though and not some scalper.

I wonder if the package will be shipped with a reciept of some kind that legally verifies it was a donation purchase?
I am going to print off whatever confirmation emails I have recieved - but yes, I am definately going to be using the tax system to my advantage on this.
